Keim are delighted in 2016 to have again been involved in projects which are nominated for the most prestigious architectural award, The Stirling Prize. We have an impressive history of involvement with Stirling Prize winners and nominees and it helps us the showcase our materials on the highest architectural platform.
A stand out project for Keim this year is the City of Glasgow Riverside Campus. Designed by Reiach and Hall and Michael Laird Architects, the building makes use of exposed, visual concrete in what has been described as ‘a world-class learning environment’. The project is also only the 8th Scottish project to have been nominated in the Stirling Prize history, so we here at Keim wish the team all the best of luck for the awards, as we do to all the nominees and the excellent representation of modern architecture that the award represents.
Keim Concretal Lasur was the Keim product utilised for the project, allowing the exposed concrete soffits to meet the very highest expectations of concrete finish. Whilst the standard of concrete finish was very good, and in many projects would have been perfectly acceptable, Keim Concretal Lasur created the highest quality, lightened concrete finish whilst most importantly, retaining the effect of unpainted concrete.
Good luck to everyone involved for October.
